These pliers are made of chrome vanadium steel for long life and superior durability, and have cushioned handles for improved comfort and ease of use. Equipped with side pins to ensure easy and accurate opening of bands. Based on model, suitable for size 0, and size 0 variant, USGS and Canadian Wildlife Service bands. If using with non-federal bands, be certain to check size guidelines before applying, as not all band manufacturers conform to federal band sizing.

We recommend that you also have our band removal pliers on hand should it prove necessary to pull a band for any reason.
* OA-O pliers are only supplied to experienced banders due to the minor difference in the hole size (0.005). Closing an 0 band with the 0A hole will crush the band on the bird’s leg.
